コンベンション法 「 国際会議等の誘致の促進及び開催の円滑化等による国際観光の振興に関する法律」が 1994 年（平成 6 年）制定された。
観光庁は今年度を「 MICE Year 」として、これでの「コンベンション」という用語を「ＭＩＣＥ」に変更する働きかけを実施中で、今後 Japan MICE 振興法が出来るかも知れない。
